Habit 7: Clean kitchen after every meal
Habit 8 : Read to my children every night.

I did pretty good this week on keeping my kitchen cleaned after every meal. There were a few nights I missed, so I am going to keep working on these. Don't forget that Lara is giving away a prize this month, The Five Lessons a Millionaire Taught Me, signed just for you, you Lazy Organizer! So go over and check it out and get involved in SHS. All you have to do this month is post your habits you are working on for three weeks. This week I am going to work harder to read to my children every night. Here is what I am working on:

SMART Habits Saturday

I did pretty good this week on the toothbrushing. Here is a picture of our charts. (See below) My 7 year old is still having a problem remembering sometimes and he does not really care about the stickers, so I am still worknig with him. My 2 year old twins love it and remind me "blue teeth" (see picture below to understand)

This week I am going to work on cleaning my kitchen after every meal. Lara is having another drawing this month. Smart Habit Saturday

I did not get my goal done at all that I was working on last week. I did find a toothbrushing chart to use and printed it off and they are now hanging in my bathroom ready to start using them this week. I did not have sticker stuff for my computer, so I am using some smily faces that I got this week. So, I will be working on this habit again this week.

Here is what I am working on:

Habit 1: Making bed everday
Habit 2: Toy pickup
Habit 3: Prepare for church on Saturday night
Habit 4: Prepare 15 mins a day for Sunday School Lesson
Habit 5: Family Prayer twice a day

Smart Habit Saturday

Well, I missed last week. Dh had been in the hospital with strep and we all keep passing this stomach bug around. Here is what I am working on:
Habit 1: Making bed everday- I have done really well, this is almost a habit.
Habit 2: Toy pickup- This has really become a habit in my house. The twins do this before going to bed. I also moved all of there toys in their room and it has helped me keep my living room clean too.
Habit 3: Prepare for church on Saturday night- I was ready but several of us woke up sick so we did not get to go.
Habit 4: Study for Sunday School lesson 15 minutes everyday- I still need to work on this some more. I missed a couple of days this week too .
Habit 5: Family Prayer twice a day- We did pretty good but still need to work on this!
My habit I am going to add is to get a routine for my kids to brush their teeth. I am making charts this week to help my 7 year old and my two year old twins. They will get stars when they brush their teeth each day.

Smart Habit Saturday

Well, I did really well this week with the habits I am working on. Here is a recap of what I am working on.

Habit 1: Making bed everday- I have done really well, this is almost a habit.

Habit 2: Toy pickup- This has really become a habit in my house. The twins do this before going to bed.

Habit 3: Prepare for church on Saturday night- I did really good on this this week.

Habit 4: Study for Sunday School lesson 15 minutes everyday- Missed a day or two but my lesson is ready and I feel better than usual.

This week I am going to work on family prayer twice a day. We have a lesson at church this week on prayer that I read and it really motivated me to work on this. One thing in the lesson that really stood out is that praying some of the time might have been okay in the past but in the future it will not be enough. We need to have all the protection that we can. My family does it when we are all together, but I talked to dh about doing it with ds in the morning before they leave for school. I also need to be better at praying with the kids at night bby myself since dh is usually not here. I loved this lesson and really learned a whole lot! I can not wait to see how the teacher presents it tommorrow.

Smart Habit Saturday

Well this week was better than last week at trying to get back to normal. I made my bed and even washed my sheets. But, by the end of the week we all had a stomach bug and we stayed in the bed a lot, but for the most part it got made. My other goals are listed below that I am working on and I am adding a new one this week that should be pretty easy for me because it is not a cleaning project.
Habit 1: Make bed everday: still working on this one.
Habit 2: Toy pickup- This has really become a habit in my house. the twins do this before going to bed.
Habit 3: Prepare for church on Saturday night- This went better but I still got some inproving to do. I need to also prepare for fast sunday by getting something in the crockpot to take for break the fast potluck meal.
Habit 4: Study for Sunday School lesson 15 minutes everyday. I teach Youth Sunday School and have really not been giving my preparation enough time.
So, there you have it my habits that I am working on. If you want to participate go to The Lazy Organizer and check it out.

Smart Habit Saturday

Well, I am a little late this week and have missed about three weeks. I had a baby and needed some time to recover. So, after three weeks, I am feeling lots better and I am ready to start working on my habits again. This is our fourth child and it has really been the hardest for me to get back into a routine with my kids! But, things seem to be going better. So, I am going to have to work on the other two weeks again and I am going to make a new habit.

Here is my recap and new goal:

Habit 3: Night Before Church Routine- We had a hard time getting all six of us ready for church this week so from now on, I want to have everything laid out, diaper bags packed and basically ready to go . This habit will make my Sundays go so much better. I actually used to do this, but just got out of the habit!

Habit 2: Toy pick-up- actually I have continued this habit and have gotten the kids to do this before bedtime and it has worked wonders!

Habit 1: Make bed every day- well I was doing really well until after the baby was born and now I am taking cat naps. So, I will have to work on this one some more.

Smart Habit Saturday

Here is Lara's (The Lazy Organizer) explanation of what Smart Habit Saturday is all about:

SMART Habit Saturday is all about making one small change in your life at a time. Pick one daily habit that you want to start, post about it (please link back to The Lazy Organizer) and then leave a link here so that we can all check up on your progress and give encouragement! Next week you can post an update and a new SMART Habit if you want or just keep working on this week’s habit for 21 days. Don’t forget it takes 21 days to make a new habit so you’re not off the hook at the end of one week. You have to keep working on it!

Well, I decided to join in this after reading Kara's (A Bit of Me) neat things she was doing. I think I have only missed one week so that is not too bad. First off, I am not going to be making any big, hard goals right now. As some of you know, I am 34 weeks pregnant and my doctor does not plan on me going any farther than 36-37 weeks and right now I am having blood pressure issues and could have to go to the hospital next week. So, I am going to start really small!

First, I want to tell you why I picked this goal. Last week my dh helped me clean our room. We are going to start our nursery in there because we really have no where else to put the baby. I have a 7 year old and 2 year old twins occuping my other rooms. Anyways we got 6 garbage bags out of the room, two large boxes to give away, and 3 laundry baskets of clothes to go through. It took us a whole day cleaning in there and I worked part of another day just on the clothes. It had actually became my junk room! No joke! It looks so nice in there now! :) I can see my floor, bed, and nightstand table! And I really do not want to spend that much time in there again. So, I am going to start off small and make my bed everyday. I used to do this and it made me feel so good everyday! But after it became the junk room, I just left it there. I have also heard that a clean bedroom will help you sleep better. Well, that might not happen right now, as I am having lots of problems sleeping with this over 5 lb baby inside me, but I really think it will in the future and with this being my starter nursery, I really got to keep it cleaned and organized or I will go crazy! So, that is the goal I am going to work on for this week.

Also, I did this kind of thing with another group I was in, although they set the goals for you (I like this better!), and they had a great idea that helped me and I think I am going to try it again. It kind of helps you see getting the job done! I have a calendar on my fridge and when I finish the new habit each day, I am going to put a star sticker on there. As I add new habits, I just change the color of the star as I put them on there. I know this may sound kind of childish, but it really helped me last time so I am going to try it again!

Here is my bed and yes I made it today!!!
