June Blog Spotlights

I meant to put this up yesterday, but I forgot, so here are my June blogs that I want to spotlight. Since I opened my Lorie's To-Do blog, I have had a lot of fun visiting other food blogs so, this month, I am spotlighting food blogs! These are all blogs I like to visit for food recipes! So, enjoy them.

Pumkins Pantry-Trista keeps her recipes here and spotlights recipes from Tasty Thursday.

A Juggling Mums food blog- This is the home of Freezer Food Friday and she keeps lots of other really neat recipes there from other meme's and carnivals that she participates in.

My Life as Mama Jodi-I found Jodi's blog from Tasty Thursday and I enjoy lots of her recipes that she has on her blog!

One Tiny Pink Kitchen-I just love the recipes Trisha post on her blog and the pictures will want you wanting to try almost every recipe on her blog.

Renee's Ramblings-I met Renee from several food meme's and have really enjoyed getting to see her recipes.

Eagles Wings-Found this blog from Favorite Ingriedients Friday meme and really enjoy the recipes she post on her blog.

The Home Schooling Way- Betsy's blog has lots of great recipes on it. She said the only thing that did not make her a food blog was that she did not have time to put pictures with her recipes, but I still think that her recipes are wonderful, picture or no picture!

MJpuzzlemoms Greatest Hits-I love her recipes that make her greatest hits! She also has another blog called What a Crock! I really like that one too!

Happy to be called "Mommy"-Bethany has the neatest recipies on her blog and pictures to go with them. She is also a guest chef on Tammy's recipes blog. You should also visit Tammy's recipes, it is a really neat food blog!

These are just a few of the food related blogs that I really enjoy visiting. You should visit them, you might just get an idea of what to cook for dinner tonight.

May Blog Spotlights

It's time for me to spotlight some blogs that I have enjoyed this past month! I thought my list would be shorter, but I still found ten new places that I really enjoyed visiting this month and would love to share them with you! Hope you enjoy!

1. Overwhelmed with Joy- I love her Favorite Ingredient Fridays Edition. I have gotten some great recipes from being a part of the FIF. Her blog does focus on her adoption and the paperwork that goes along with it.

2. Diary of a SAHM- I first found this blog from Monday Menu Planning, actually that is where I find a lot of my new blogs, and Sandra host Slow Cooking Thursday. I love reading her daily happenings and she always has WONDERFUL recipes! I even won a book on her blog!

3. Home Ec 101- Ms. Ivy writes this blog and it has a very Home Ecy feel to it, maybe 1950's? She answers lots of Home Ec type questions and shares recipes and how to do things. One of my favorite post was when she taught how to fold fitted sheets. Most of you know that I have a home ec education degree so this site appeals to me.

Edited: Ms. Ivy tells me that Heather does a lot of stuff including lots of cooking stuff. How did I overlook her! I love the cooking stuff on this blog. Sorry Heather! She has a recipe up right now with great pictures etc.

4. Monkey Kisses- I became familiar with this blog because of Tasty Thursday at The Pumkin Patch, Liz is the host of Family Fridays where we share fun things to do with our families.

5. Life is Just Ducky-Michelle always has really neat pictures on her blog. Just today she put some cartoons about the high gas prices. I also always enjoy reading about her kids!

6. Crazy Hip Blog Mamas- I have thought about joining this group. I love to read this blog. They have something going on everyday including recipe rally, etc. Go check out all of the neat stuff they do.

7. Marcia's Organizing Tips- I love all of her organising tips that she shares. I found this blog from Monday Menu Plan. Great tips for even the beginning organizer!

8. Happy to be called "Mommy"- I have learned so much about once a month cooking on this blog. She gives the recipes she uses and shows prep pictures! Love this one too!

9. mommyknows- I learned about this blog from Overwhelmed with Joy. mommyknows is giving away great gifts all May. Don't miss the last couple of days of her May Madness!

10. My Life as Annie- Annie started this blog to record her journey from dealing with her daughters near drowning experience. She also sponsors Time Travel Tuesday, which I have not participated in yet but want to soon! I learned about Annie from Monday Menu Plan.

April Blog Spotlights

Well, I was visiting Kara's blog and she has updated her blog roll and was telling us about new blogs she goes to visit. I have recently added several to mine and so I thought I would spotlight some of those new blogs and even a few old ones that I enjoy visiting. I challenge all who read to list blogs they enjoy on their blog. I always enjoy new blogs!

1. Callapidder Days- I love this blog! I have joined the Spring Reading Thing that she is sponsoring. She is a writer so I always love reading her blogs. Also, a bunch of other writers have donated books for the Spring Reading Thing. I have not won one yet, but there are LOTS of books. She named her blog Callapidder Days because that was how her son said caterpiller and she thought it was cute.
2. A Juggling Mum- A "Mum" to 5 living in Australia, Rachel has great recipes on her blog. She even has started Friday Freezer Food to help people save time by having freezer stuff. She also has another blog being frugal , which also has great ideas about saving money,and one about gardening.
3. Mom Advice-This is a new blog for me and I really do not remember how I found it but I love reading Amy's product reviews, Dollar Strecher Tips, and great tips (like Ideas for a cheap date night.) But what I like best about this blog is the Friday Freebies post. She lets you know about free offers out there. My mailbox has been full since I have been visiting her blog on Fridays.
4. Hmmm...- Dawn is a friend I met on a message board. I enjoy reading about her experiences with her two kids, including her homeschooling experiences. She is also pregnant and has the neatest pregnacy counter on there. Her blog gives me the chance to stay in touch with her.
5. The Pumkin Patch-Trista's blog always has great tips. Right now she has tips on Spring Cleaning. She also host Tasty Thursdays where other bloggers share recipes. I have gotten a lot of new dinner ideas from participating in Tasty Thursday. She also has another food blog called Punkin's Pantry. She spotlights recipes from Tasty Thursdays on that blog and has some of her own tried and true recipes.
6. A Bit of Me- I can not forget Kara. I met her on a message board too and I love getting ideas from her, updates of her family as well as new blogs to visit.
7. Organizing Junkie- Laura has great ideas on organizing, but what I like best is the Monday Menu Plan. i have gotten great recipes and met other bloggers, as well as, being prepared for meals.
8. The Lazy Organizer- Lara has a wonderful blog about organizing. I have gotten so many great ideas from her blog! I have also enjoyed participating in SMART habit Saturdays. I have been able to make some things habits and make my life easier.
9. 5 minutes for mom- This blog has really neat ideas and sponsors Takle it Tuesday's which I have never participated in, but I always love to read what others have done. They also give away lots of stuff on that site.
10. Daisy Chain-This is another person that I met on a message board. I love her book reviews and recipes that she has on her blog. I have gotten some great book recommendations from that site. She also keeps us up to date on her cute son.

That is the ten I am spotlighting this month. I plan to continue this every month. Just because yours did not get picked this month does not mean I don't enjoy reading yours. I would recommend all the blogs that I have on my blog roll!
