First Day of Preschool, NOT

Well the twins were suppose to start preschool today. So, yesterday, I spent most of the day going to doctors' appointments. In Kentucky, a child must have a physical exam, got to the dentist and the eye doctor. I also had a WIC appointment. I got home a little later than usual 10 minutes and I knew my son would be waiting on me. He rides the bus home. Something told me last week to talk to him about what to do if I was not at home when he got here. We talked about it, but I have NEVER not been here, so I thought it pretty strange to need to talk to him about what to do. It was not even a week later and this came up. So, I am glad I listened and talked to him about what to do. The problem was school let out early because of a flood. Well the buildings roof caved in from the excessive rain we were having and they let out school early, so he had been here more like 45 minutes instead of 15! I felt really bad because it was pouring the rain! Nicholas is going to 9 in November and I think I am going to go ahead and get him a house key made because should that happen again, which I have no plans for it to happen again, but if it does at least he will not be in the rain! My twins go to preschool in the same school as my older son and today was suppose to be the first day of school, but since the school is in such bad shape they have closed for the rest of the week. My twins are so upset! They have been waiting a long time for school to start and they were looking forward to today. I was also looking forward to today. I would only have one child home and thought that would give me more of a chance to do the things that I have not been able to do with all of the kids home. Oh and on a side note, the twins are pretty much potty trained! I have been trying since they were about 2 1/2 and have had no luck. I told them if the went to the potty they would get to go to school like there big brother and that was all it took! Except maybe for some suckers. We went to transition day on Tuesday and they both went all day without any accidents! We have been accident free for 3 days! I am so proud of them! I know they are excited to go to school and while I am not excited to see them leave me. I am glad that they get the chance to go for 3 hours a day, 4 days a week to have fun and learn and be around other children! I will miss them, but I know they will have lots of FUN!

My budding artist!

My budding artist, Katie Sue is 3 and sometimes she really surprises me at how well she can draw! Her new thing is drawing people! These are so funny because they really look like the person. I have laughed and laughed over these. I am so glad I got some pictures of her work because she usually does her drawings on her magna doodle!
Here is some of her work!

Who do my kids look more like?

MyHeritage: Look-alike Meter - Vintage photos - Finding relatives

MyHeritage: Family tree - Genealogy - Celebrity - Collage - Morph

MyHeritage: Look-alike Meter - Ancestors - Free family history

MyHeritage: Look-alike Meter - Geneology - Free genealogy

I find this really interesting! Everyone always says all my kids look like dh. I always thought that they just said that because of the hair color, but now I have proof that all of my kids look more like me! Ha Ha! Thanks to Jenn for sharing this site! Fun!

Katie Sue's Hair

Katie Sue was born with practically no hair (I thought it would never grow), but now that she is 3 years old, it goes to her back and curls under so pretty. I really just have to keep it trimmed and I just do not know where she got such beautiful hair like that. Well yesterday, the kids were playing in their room and I was on the other side of the wall on our computer. I heard like a snip sound and I thought oh no. I went in there and Katie Sue was in her older brothers room. I looked around but did not see anything so I went back in the living room and on my way back, I heard it again. I turned around and saw something blue hiding behind Katie Sue and sure enough, it was Nicholas' blunt pair of sissors. I looked at her and said what have you done and then she showed me her cut hair on the floor. I wanted to cry, but it really is not bad and probably can be fixed. She cut a good amount off of the side, but other than that, I caught her in time. I remember my sister cut her hair outside and she cut almost all of her hair off, it took forever for her to grow it back, so I guess it could have been worse, but we are definately going to have to have a professional deal with it!

Playing in the Snow!

The kids got up today and were so excited to go outside and play in the new fallen snow! Yes this is our first measurable snow. So, we got dressed and bundled up real good and while Neil was taking a nap, we went out for about 20 minutes. The kids got to try out their new snow boots they got for Christmas. It was 19 degrees and they screamed because they wanted to stay out longer! Then we came in and had Tomato Soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. It was so cold! Here are a few pictures!

Twins Birthday Party Pictures

My twins celebrated their 3rd birthday. We had to wait until Saturday to celebrate. It is so hard to do a birthday party because it is so close to Christmas. Here are some pictures I have been meaning to put up.

We had a Spaghetti and Meatballs Dinner, this is one of the twins favorite meals.

The cake. Nathan got in it before we got to eat, hence the spot. I also put three candles in each corner so each could blow out there own candles.

Singing Happy Birthday

Blowing out candles.

Neil enjoying cake. Now don't get on me he did not eat much.

Playing with their new toy a Doddle Pro board.

Their last gift was chairs that I got at Walmart at the end of summer for $1.50. They loved them but did not want to leave their Doddle boards.
