Lorie's To-Do

Good Thursday Morning. I already have two post written and they are yummy recipes so scroll down to see them. Today I put my 7 yr old ds on the bus for the last time until August. He is a first grader and daddy has been taking him out to the bus because he has to go to the other side of the road and today he begged to go out by himself. I let him because daddy did not get up today. I watched him out the kitchen window and he did really good. As, I looked at him, I thought about how much I really love him even though he is so hard sometimes! He is really growing up! I wish so hard that we could have had children closer together, we tried to have more, but I was not able to get pregnant again until Nicholas was 5. He does not have a lot of friends and he tries to play with the twins like they are 7. Anyways, I watched American Idol. I thought it was really good! Jordin looked like a beauty queen at the end. I liked some others on the show this season, but I really thought Jordin had a chance after the Diana Ross show where she sang that song from The Land Before Time, If we hold on. I loved that song and really thought at that point that I wanted her to win! I thought the Idol emmys were lots funnier this year and not as degrading as last year. I am going to miss that show. Does anyone watch that So you think you can Dance show that comes on tonight that is suppose to be like American Idol, only about dancing? I think I might watch that tonight. I know, another thing to get myself hooked on. lol! Well, I hear the twins up so I better rap this post up. Hope you all have a great day!

Lorie's To-Do

Hi! All! I have already posted several things today so make sure you scroll down to see them all! I also have posted my new blogs that I have enjoyed reading this month in this post. I also posted in the What Works for Me Wednesday about the library and what I am going to do with my kids this summer and even a book my twins have enjoyed reading about potty training in this post. Today should be an easy day and I am so waiting for the final show of American Idol tonight! Chris from last season was on last night. I did not know he was going to be on there. He really should have won last year, but he seems to be doing fine on his own, yk? He was good last night but had way too much eye make-up on him. Don't tell my dh this, but he is handsome enough without all that make-up! I just can not wait for tonight! Here is my plan for the day!

AI top 7 night

Well, tonight was country with Martina McBride and I really like country music so I really liked most of this show.

Phil- "Where the Blacktop Ends"I was glad to see him not wearing a hat, but come on this is country shouldn't that be the night you want to wear a hat? He seemed to have fun this time and put some personality into his performance. The judges actullly told him he should do country.

Jordin- "Broken Wing" I can not believe she picks a song that the mentor sang. Scary! I thought she did really good. But, I have liked her for a long time! I loved when Simon told her After that song, he could finally see her winning Idol.

Sanjaya- "Something to Talk About" Well, I will say he is going for the attention card again with his hair spiked up and the red bandana. He was actually pretty good last week, but not this week. I can't believe that Ryan was actually taking up for him. Also, he got the viewer question this week. I loved that he said he wanted Simon to sing Shiny Happy People. lol!

Lakisha- "Jesus Take the Wheel" Weel, the begining was really boring to me and then not until the end did it get better. It seemed to me that she yelled a lot during the song.

Chris- "Mayberry" I really did not like him this week. And he was nasally on purpose?

Melinda- "Trouble is a Woman" What can you say she is great as usually! The judges call her a professional.

Blake- "When the Stars Go Blue" I thought this song was very pitchy and definately not his best performance. I have a hard time listening to him because I can't get past how little his mouth is. Most of his past songs have been really good.

Bottom 3: Phil (eventhough he was good), Chris, Sanjaya

Whose going home: We all know who should (the guy with the bandana) but it will probably be Phil even though he was good this week. He has been in the bottom 3 for several weeks now.

Best of Night: Jordin (I really like her!) I hope Melinda and Jordin are the final two.

American Idol

Well, I got into AI last season, but I only watched when about the last 15 or so were competing. I never watched the auditions. Well, I watched them the past two nights. Wow, does that give me a different take on the show. I have to say that some of the people really made me laugh! But I also wonder what in the world some of the people were even thinking coming on there? Most of those people really thought that they were just so good! When they were told they were not, it just about killed them. I really think that Simon and Randy went a little far on a lot of comments they made, but they were the same when I watched them last season. Randy told that one guy who taught voice lessons he needed to give all his students back their money because he did not know what he was teaching and when Simon called that one guy a monkey...well he did, but man to tell someone that. I know, I know that is what the show is all about. It gets people laughing and keeps people watching. I could not believe that Amish guy that came on there and had never watched the show because he does not even have a TV. I thought most Amish did not believe in the arts (like painting, reading, and performing arts), so I guess that was why I was shocked to see him. Well, I did like several of the people. I really like did the brother and sister. I will enjoy seeing what they do. Anyways, I guess I am hooked on the audition part now too. Anyone else watch? What did you think?
