SMART Habit Saturday-10 minute toy pickup

I did really good last week making my bed. I had one day that my ds came in our room at night and peed in my bed so it got done late, but it got done. So, I think this week after the kids have been put to bed I am going to take 10 minutes and pick up all of the toys in the livingroom. Acctually it is the playroom. I think that doing it 10 minutes will be so much easier than waiting at the end of the week and it taking a whole lot more time. So, that is what I am going to work on this week. I did reorganize toys about two weeks ago and got rid of a lot of stuff! So, that has also made it easier to deal with.

American Idol

Well, I got into AI last season, but I only watched when about the last 15 or so were competing. I never watched the auditions. Well, I watched them the past two nights. Wow, does that give me a different take on the show. I have to say that some of the people really made me laugh! But I also wonder what in the world some of the people were even thinking coming on there? Most of those people really thought that they were just so good! When they were told they were not, it just about killed them. I really think that Simon and Randy went a little far on a lot of comments they made, but they were the same when I watched them last season. Randy told that one guy who taught voice lessons he needed to give all his students back their money because he did not know what he was teaching and when Simon called that one guy a monkey...well he did, but man to tell someone that. I know, I know that is what the show is all about. It gets people laughing and keeps people watching. I could not believe that Amish guy that came on there and had never watched the show because he does not even have a TV. I thought most Amish did not believe in the arts (like painting, reading, and performing arts), so I guess that was why I was shocked to see him. Well, I did like several of the people. I really like did the brother and sister. I will enjoy seeing what they do. Anyways, I guess I am hooked on the audition part now too. Anyone else watch? What did you think?

Hooray for a day!

Well, today at the doctor he scheduled my c-section. It will be February 6th. But, he did say if not sooner. So, I guess there is a possibility that I could go earlier. You know what though...I hope not. I would love to have a baby that is not considered premature. That does not have to be stuck with iv's etc. My dh would love to be able to plan around work too! So I am hoping I can go that long! Dh has been stepping things up. On his nights off he cooks dinner and cleans for about an hour. I take a nap! It has been so nice! Some of you know that he works at Walmart and he is only working Friday-Sun for the next three weeks. He really wanted to take some time off, but they will not let him because he has not worked there for more than 1 year. I really have nobody else to help me either, so he is fighting with Walmart right now for two weeks off for my c-section(he has to take care of the other kids while I am in the hospital!) and for my recovery. So, knowing the date will really help him!

A friend of mine from a message board I visit, Jenn, who is on bedrest with twins, had a really great idea that I think I am going to use! She set small goals for herself and made a chain out of papers and put one up for each day to help her son understand how long she would be on bedrest and he got to take the links off each day. Well, I think I want to do that, but on each link, I am going to write down one thing to do that day to get ready for the baby...I do still have a few and hopefully it will make the time go faster! Thanks Jenn for this GREAT idea!

Hooray! I have a day to look forward to!

Sickness

Kate got a high fever yesterday. The funny thing is I could not find anything wrong with her. She is just clingy and whiny. So, I took her to the doctor today and she has a UTI. Poor thing, they took blood from her for the first time. Anyways, we go to a clinic that has a ped. and a regular family doctor, so I had them check my bp and it was 138/82. That is so much better than Friday when it was 160/80. So, I e-mailed my doctor (that is the only way I can get a hold of him) I asked him if I could come in on Friday instead. With Kate sick and my dh going to school for his first day for some classes tommorrow and my bp doing so much better. I just hope he's okay with that and can get back a hold of me. I am also very grateful for all of the prayers! My bp really does look so much better.

Congratulations!

Well today my dh went back to school for his second semester. Going back to school has been something he has wanted to do for a long time. Sometimes, I have felt like I have been the one to stop his dream. He worked really hard last semester. Going to school all day and not coming home most nights until 11 or 1 am! I really do not know how he did it? I do not think I could have done it and I have a college degree! Well, I know he thinks that I did not notice, but I am very proud of him and made this post just to congratulate him on making the dean's list. I hope his next semesters are as great for him!
