This week's theme is cookies. Someone gave me this recipe at Christmas, but they are good anytime of the year! Santa's Helpers Cookies
1 (9 oz) yellow cake mix
1 large egg
3 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 cup chopped pecans
10 orange slice candies, sliced
Combine all ingredients until blended. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees F or until edges begin to brown. Place on wire racks to cool.
Yield: 2 1/2 dozen cookies.

This sounds really good! Today's too hot to bake but as soon as it cools down, I'll be trying out all these great recipes!! Thanks for sharing.

I'm trying to imagine what these would taste like. I love orange slice candies so I'll have to give these a try!
Now, this recipe sounds different. The last two years at the holidays, I made several cookies from cake mixes. They were really good and such a time saver!
